Snowmass Village Brew Festival. Friday, June 8th, guests are welcome to attend a series of new Brewer’s Pairing Dinners at restaurants around Snowmass Village, before indulging in beers from over 30 craft brewers during a three-hour grand tasting event on Saturday, June 9th. Close out the festivities with the first concert of the Snowmass Free Concert series on Fanny Hill that evening featuring the Drunken Hearts. 



Complementing the Snowmass Free Concert Series show, Rustic Grind features wood-fired grills loaded up with heritage bread proteins from animals raised with safe, honest methods on family farms in Colorado. The smoky fare will be paired with premium tipples and artisnal wines.

This event is located inside of the concert venue, offering a fenced off section for those with a ticket that gets you unlimited food and drink. You may purchase in advance or at the door. 



Thursday Night Free Concert in Snowmass Village. In the summer, enjoy free live music concerts as part of the Snowmass Free Concert Series. These community events lure families and friends by the thousands to picnic in the sun and enjoy the tunes. Every Thursday until August 16th.  Shows start at 6:30pm.

Aspen Food and Wine Classic. Each year, the world's most accomplished winemakers, celebrity chefs, and culinary experts come together in one breathtaking setting, the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen, the nations premier culinary event.   Don't miss the opportunity to experience the pinnacle of good taste, mingle with stars, and enjoy a pleasure-packed weekend at the base of spectacular Aspen Mountain. Foodies will delight in the range of food and wine offerings both in the grand tasting pavilion as well as the carefully curated seminars. This is a highlight of the summer calendar year after year.



Celebrating its 45th season in 2018, the Snowmass Rodeo is the longest running rodeo in Colorado. This authentic western event takes place every Wednesday evening in the summers through mid-August. Visitors can check out exciting competitions like saddle bronc and bull riding, team roping, and barrel racing. Children can participate in the Calf Scramble and Mutton Busting. Come early and enjoy a BBQ dinner and cocktails from the full bar or stroll around vendor booths and watch the live entertainment such as roping demonstrations. After the rodeo, a campfire sing-a-long and marshmallow roast complete a perfect Colorado evening. It’s Western Wednesday in Snowmass, rain or shine!

Gates open at 5:00 p.m. for Family Activities, BBQ, Cash Bar & Shopping. The Rodeo takes place from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. FREE Parking is available. FREE for children under 11.



Snowmass Heritage Fire. Complementing the Food & Wine Classic, Heritage Fire is an annual wood-fired meat-laden feast featuring chefs and farmers working together to spotlight traditional outdoor cooking techniques. An outstanding collection of wineries, breweries, craft distillers and more than 40 notable chefs and butchers cooking 3,000 pounds of heritage bread animals in celebration of breed diversity and family farming.



The first Aspen Summer Market. Run every Saturday until 10/06/18 Spend your Saturday mornings at the Aspen Farmer's Market. The market makes a U-shape from the corner of Galena & Hopkins, to Hunter & then again back to the intersection of Hyman & Galena. The market offers Colorado grown produce, crafts, live music and a food court for lunch or a snack while you peruse.



The Aspen Words Benefit Dinner at the Hotel Jerome includes dinner and a reception with Summer Words authors, literary agents and editors.

Snowmass Village. American Renewable Energy Day (AREDAY) is one of the most important renewable energy technology & policy summits in the United States. Held annually in Snowmass each summer, AREDAY attracts national & international attention with its impressive roster of speakers and participants.



Demo Days. Demo the season’s hottest bikes on the lift-served downhill trails of The Snowmass Bike Park and the scenic cross-country trails, roads and bike paths of Bike Snowmass. Biking enthusiasts can elevate their Snowmass biking experience by talking one-on-one with exhibitors and demoing the season’s newest bike products.

The Aspen Ideas Festival-Spotlight Health is the nation’s premier public gathering place where big ideas are presented and courageous questions asked about the most critical domestic and global health issues today. Lectures, panel discussions, debates, and interviews fill the three-day schedule from morning until evening. Healthful cuisine, morning yoga, nature hikes, and networking with colleagues enrich this unique learning experience.



Aspen Music Festival starts. There are more than 400 events in 7-1/2 weeks and the world’s very best students from 40 countries around the globe.



A unique wine and tequila tasting, culinary experience benefitting the Shining Stars Foundation, inspired by the most beautiful and famous beach clubs in Europe. Lounge by the Roaring Fork River and sip on a selection of rosés, tequilas, and other fine spirits, while listening to the beats of St. Tropez. All proceeds benefit the Shining Stars Foundation, bringing hope to children with cancer. This evening of compassion and hope which will feature.


July 2018



Aspen 4th of July. Locals and visitors honor the nation's birthday with a parade, kids' carnival, live music, picnics, spectacular fireworks, and more. 



Join the Buddy Program in celebrating the 32nd Anniversary of Boogie’s Buddy Race on July 4th, 2018! Kick off the 4th of July in style at this family-friendly event, which includes a 5-mile USA Track & Field and RRCA certified competitive race and a 1-mile family and canine run/walk. 



Snowmass Village 4th of July. Celebrate Fourth of July evening in Snowmass with complimentary lawn games, music, sweet treats & more. The festive event coincides with the Snowmass Rodeo & culminates with fireworks over Fanny Hill at 9pm. 



Aspen Raptor Fair. Join us at Hallam Lake for our fifth annual Raptor Fair, a free community event for all ages! This year, the event features new visiting birds, including a first-ever Bald Eagle, and opportunities for up-close interactions with several birds of prey including ACES resident Red-tailed Hawk, Golden Eagle, and Great-horned Owl. Learn about these creatures from ACES Naturalist Staff as well as visiting experts from Hawk Quest, an education organization from Denver.



Kentucky-born cellist and composer Ben Sollee likes to keep moving. He kicked off 2014 with the release of his score for the documentary film Maidentrip followed by performing at Carnegie Hall as part of a tribute to Paul Simon. He has supported song-writer William Fitzsimmons and toured in Europe and across the United States. If you’ve seen him perform, you know it’s not to be missed. For listeners just discovering Ben’s music, you’ll find that there’s a lot more to it than just songs.



Farm to Table Tuesdays. This is every Tuesday July 10 -Aug 21. Take the Elk Camp Gondola to Elk Camp Restaurant and enjoy a dinner inspired by the farm-to-table movement with locally sourced ingredients. A full cash bar, plenty of outdoor family activities and live music complete the experience.

In conjunction with the Farm to Table Dinners at Elk Camp restaurant, the Snowmass Bike Park will extend the park hours to stay open until dusk.



This summer, Anderson Ranch Arts Center will honor Ai Weiwei with the International Artist Award, and Bunny and Charles Burson with the Service to the Arts Award at its 22nd Annual Recognition Dinner on July 19, 2018. Anderson Ranch Arts Center, a premier destination in America for art-making and critical dialogue since 1966, celebrates creativity and service to the arts by recognizing the accomplishments and contributions of key figures in the art world.



Volleyball of the Rockies, organizes of some of the largest volleyball tournaments in the state, and brings this boutique mountain tournament to Snowmass. Sand and grass courts
will be located throughout Snowmass Town Park with plenty of spectating opportunities.

All players (not discounted coed teams) will receive a Molten Volleyball at check-in and all Men’s/Women’s grass divisions will advance to Sunday bracket play. There will be winners’ brackets for the top teams (bigger prizes) and consolation brackets for everyone else (some fun consolation prizes).



The Deaf Camp Benefit is an annual celebration for the Aspen Camp of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing. Locals and visitors join together for fun under the sun on the slopes of Snowmass. Great music, delicious food, and beautiful scenery add up to an amazing day…all for a great cause. 



Melissa Etheridge at the Belly Up Aspen. A billion stars out in an endless sky, and I won’t be alone, won’t be alone, won’t be alone tonight. That resolute yearning, that longing for connection, for contact, for touch. These are the core forces powering Melissa Etheridge’s cherished songs throughout her singular career. But as the rousing chorus of “I Won’t Be Alone Tonight,” the opening song of her album This is M.E., it holds some new meaning, new context.



Audi Power of Four Mountain Trail Run race. This event’s signature race is a challenging 50K Ultra that has been named the US Skyrunner Series North American Continental Championship. It covers the four Aspen Snowmass mountains utilizing a mix of singletrack and dirt road. The event also offers a 25K race along the famed Government Trail covering Buttermilk and Snowmass mountains and a Vertical K race up Aspen Mountain that is also part of the US Skyrunner Series



Audi Power of Four Mountain Bike race. In 2017, Aspen Snowmass presents the 7th annual Audi Power of Four Mountain Bike race. The oldest in the race series features a point-to-point course covering the classic single-track on Government Trail plus a mix of the new flow trails on Snowmass and the challenging steep climbs and descents on both Aspen Highlands and Aspen Mountain.

The full four-mountain course is a 33-mile race (plus or minus a few) with close to 10,000 feet in elevation gain and decent. A two-mountain course utilizes the same start in Snowmass and finishes at the base of Buttermilk’s Tiehack side after covering 18-miles of almost all single-track trails.



We are thrilled to announce the 15th Annual Challenge Aspen Gala and Golf Classic with a new location for our Gala this year—the top of Aspen Mountain! Take a ride up the gondola with us to enjoy a silent auction and cocktails at the Aspen Mountain Club followed by dinner, a live auction, and special entertainment on the Sundeck. Compete in the Golf Classic the following day at the award-winning Snowmass Club golf course with beverages and delicious food from local sponsors.

Gallery at The Red Brick. Enjoy wine and appetizers at the gallery opening while experiencing the art created by local artists and view the open studios of our current Resident Artists. We feature painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics and jewelry.



Join visiting fungi experts for the ACES Annual Mushroom Fair! Learn all you ever wanted to know about mushrooms: a wide variety of specimens will be exhibited, identified and examined up close. Come prepared to look at various mushrooms under a microscope, make spore prints, learn about their intricate ways and how important they are to the whole ecosystem - you're welcome to bring your own mushrooms to share and learn about. Come to ACES for a fun-filled afternoon learning about mushrooms, not to mention you'll get to discuss which ones are the choice edible varieties.



Women Mountain Bike Skills Clinic. The VIDA MTB Series focuses on making you a better rider through increased confidence and an improved understanding of the relationship between you and your bike. If you’ve been wanting descend the steeps, tackle tight switchbacks with ease, overcome obstacles on the trail, learn how to catch air, or become confident on wooden bridges and stunts, join us and discover the rider that exists within you.The weekend clinic provides women with the opportunity to connect with VIDA coaches, and fully immerse themselves into the nitty-gritty of proper biking technique and the confidence needed to tackle new challenges. Participants will be grouped with other ladies of like-minded experience and goals so you can progress together in a comfortable and supportive environment.



Big Mountain Enduro. Aspen Snowmass will host the BME Finals for 2018. The two-day event will blend high altitude riding adventures mixed with some of the biggest descents and best riding in the area. Expect a heavy pro field and some new trail integrations concluding last year’s EWS round. The combination of the Aspen Mountain and Snowmass Bike Park terrain and the surrounding trails within the valley, offer some of the most diverse mountain biking in the country.

Aspen Mountain and Snowmass Bike Park are the only lift served biking in the U.S. that can take riders on 4,000-foot descents, beginning above tree line and ending in the high mountain desert. Riders should expect to see six stages and over 15,000 feet of descending and 1,500 feet of climbing, with both lift served and backcountry access to start lines and with a wide variety of raw terrain that top riders are looking for.



Aspen History Museum ice cream social in Aspen. Guests of all ages are invited to celebrate the longstanding tradition of a community ice cream social in Aspen! The free event features live music, a presentation of “A Briefly Complete History of Aspen” (a 45-minute crash course in Aspen history featuring song, dance, and character presentations), and most importantly ice cream bowls replete with toppings and boozy milkshakes are available for a small fee. Since the mining era in Aspen, ice cream socials have been a popular summer gathering in the community. 



Anderson Ranch Art Auction and Community Picnic. Anderson Ranch’s largest community fundraiser of the year and a highlight of the summer season.



Happening on Aug 10-11, the 200-ish mile adventure kicks off at Copper Mountain Ski Resort. From there, teams of 12 (or 6) run two days and one star-filled night, past six world-famous Colorado ski towns, through the White River National Forest and next to the Colorado River on bike paths, backroads and even a little bit of single-track trail.



Aspen Backcounty Marathon. Boasting spectacular views of the Elk Mountains and the city of Aspen, Colorado, the Aspen Backcountry Marathon & Half Marathon is run almost exclusively on high country dirt trails. Challenging ascents, exciting descents and wide diversity in terrain will challenge even the most well-trained athlete.

Starting & Finishing in the heart of downtown Aspen. So get your running shoes on and come run the most challenging and scenic marathon or half marathon you’ve ever run!



Aspen Ducky Derby Grand Prize $10,000 or a Special Lucky Duck Worth a million dollars, plus more prizes!



The Colorado Brewery Running Series debuts its first mountain destination trail fun run. The run consists of a 5k trail run starting and ending on the Snowmass Mall, followed by a post beer party at the New Belgium Ranger Station. 

Colorado Brewery Running Series events are 5k-ish, fun-run courses that all start and end at local Colorado breweries. They welcome all runners, walkers, joggers, and spectators that are interested in enjoying the great outdoors and the great craft beer that Colorado has to offer. All participants complete a 5k course nearby each brewery. Afterwards, everyone hangs out, drinks beer, and enjoys local live music!



The Zoppè Family Circus welcomes guests into the intimate 500 seat tent for a one-ring circus that honors the best history of the Old-World Italian tradition. Starring Nino the clown, the circus is propelled by a central story that feature acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning and plenty of audience participation. Giovanni Zoppè, the sixth-generation circus performer who plays Nino, says the show aims higher than what passes for circuses these days. “We try to touch every emotion during the show,” he says. “They’ll laugh, they’ll cry, and they’ll feel for the characters. It’s more of an event than a show.”

Snowmass Tough Mudder. Come up to Snowmass for another go at the most gargantuan, monstrously challenging event on any Tough Mudder season slate. The sprawling course includes the biggest elevation gain in North America and is made for muddin’ in the wildest variety.Tough Mudder events are hardcore obstacle courses designed to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie.  With the most innovative courses, over one million inspiring participants worldwide to date, and more than $5 million raised for the Wounded Warrior Project, Tough Mudder is the premiere adventure challenge series in the world.



The MotherLode Volleyball Classic is celebrating its 46th year of serving up some of the "Best Volleyball East of the Pacific Coast Highway".  Considered one of America's iconic grassroots Events, The "Lode attracts players from all over the United States and Canada competing in 21 different divisions including Men's and Women's Masters/Seniors and Open divisions; Co-Ed (and, Reverse Co-Ed) and Men's and Women's A, BB and B. Taking place in one of America's top ski/summer resorts (Aspen), The MotherLode offers a unique, end-of-the-season Tourney that keeps competitors coming back year-after-year. Come and experience one of the Country's most exciting grassroots volleyball Events.



Jas Labor Day Experience. The Hottest 72 Hours of the Summer! The JAS Labor Day Experience includes three days of world-class music with crowds of up to 11,000 per day. In addition to headline performances on the main stage, two side stages keep the music going throughout the day with a mix of up and coming artists. The JAS Village provides shopping, eclectic food and beverage vendors, kids corner and more

Trail Run - Crested Butte to Aspen - Sept. 1st

The Grand Traverse is an extraordinary 40-mile backcountry race between the towns of Crested Butte and Aspen, CO.  The course is based on the mail routes of the 1880's, connecting the two towns. Racers competing in teams of two, will climb more than 7,800 vertical feet and navigate in a self-supported backcountry race that tests them physically and mentally.



The Snowmass Balloon Festival fills the sky with one of the highest-altitude hot air balloon events in the country. Over three days, 30 pilots compete in challenges and races, as spectators take in the stunning sight and capture spectacular photos. Special activities and events round out the weekend, including a Saturday evening Glow Show in Snowmass Base Village that features a balloon glow and a free concert. All Snowmass Balloon Festival events are free and open to all ages. All daytime events take place at Snowmass Town Park, with free parking in the Town Park Station lot.



Snowmass Septemberfest. Join us for an afternoon of fall fun at Snowmass Base Village to benefit the Bridging Bionics Foundation, where you’ll taste, shop and play around the plaza. Septemberfest is FREE and open to all ages.



Aspen Ruggerfest. The world's only all-age, full-contact rugby tournament. Champion rugby is on display for four full days, rain, snow, or shine.



Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing is pleased to announce The Aspen Snowmass Vintage Car Race, a new high-octane street race, set for Thursday, September 14th, 2017. The Aspen Snowmass Vintage Car Race will feature 60 vintage race cars from the 1960’s and 1970’s, competing in the first automotive race in 19 years to occur completely on Town streets. The last time a race of this caliber was held in ski country was in 1998 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. n addition to the Aspen Snowmass Vintage Car Race, all race cars and cars from the Rocky Mountain Car Clubs will be on display for guests to admire and enjoy. Top car brands include Ferrari, Viper, Porsche, Cobra, BMW, Audi, and more.



Snowmass Wine Festival. Experience a weekend of incredible food, flavors, sights and sounds at the Snowmass Wine Festival, hosted by Rotary Club of Snowmass Village.



Golden Leaf Half Marathon. Runners from across the US will descend upon Aspen, Colorado to participate in the much anticipated Golden Leaf Half Marathon.  Chosen by Trail Runner Magazine as one of “America’s 14 Most Scenic Races” and Colorado Runner Magazine as the “Best Half Marathon” in 2008, the Golden Leaf is one of the most beautiful foot races in the Rockies.  In the height of the picturesque fall colors of Colorado, reds, greens, and the famous gold’s of the Aspen Trees will guide runners on this challenging course from Snowmass to Aspen.  The course traverses the mountains of Snowmass and Aspen at breathtaking heights with fabulous mountain views.  The trail can be narrow and steep at times with elevation gains of 970 feet peaking at 9,400 feet in elevation.
